(1:1 or 2:1)
Want to get to grips with using your digital compact or SLR camera? Ever wondered what all those buttons and symbols mean? What is ISO and how does it work? Can I use flash during the day or only at night and what picture quality setting should I use? These are all questions we ask ourselves when we first start using a camera but the manual's so thick and often difficult to understand that we just leave the camera on Programme setting. As a result, we never fully utilise all its capabilities nor do we have the satisfaction of knowing that the picture was created by us and not by coincidence! So, what better way of learning than by spending time with a 'working' professional.
Aside from covering the technical aspects of the camera, Robert will also take you through the art of composition and how light, colour and form play the most vital roles in photography. Robert will make notes of your camera's most relevant settings and once the session is completed he will email you a short, easy to understand description of what each setting means and does.

Robert is best known for his wildlife and landscape images, yet he also regularly freelances for Kent Regional Newspapers, has covered numerous features for magazines and supplied images for brochures with his architectural images. Robert regularly lectures throughout England and has taught at Adult Education centres as well as hosting camera club field workshops.
Robert's gift comes from his ability to put the technical into layman's terms and with his clear, concise approach to help you understand your camera and indeed photography as a whole, he absolutely guarantees you will learn more in this short space of time than you will in 6 months thumbing through a manual.
